If your teenager advances to a guitar hero, the next logical step is a more expensive amp. Their sound is not excessive, but your teenager is not playing stadium rock. For what its worth they are all that's needed in the beginning.
The practice size guitar amp is compact. It does not take up a lot of storage space. It's length is about a foot and the width also one foot. It can be effortlessly carried around. It includes a jack for headphones when you practice and don't want to disturb your family or neighbors.

Guitar amps have tubes that must be replaced on occasion, and they can be a tad pricey. Add that on top of the price of a full sized guitar amp, and you will quickly realize your teenager has an expensive hobby.
